George Thomas and (Jo. report produce prices as follows -.—Flour— General parcels of the new grist hare reached this market, and current quotations . show a decrease of 10s per ton; bakers however, prefer to operate in old stocks, and thus allow the incoming product to mature. We quote L9ss to L 9 15s for old, and L 8 15s to L9 5s for new stocks. We hear of a few sales of milling wheat at 3s 2|d ; prices ia southern centres are from 2s 9d to 2s 9£d f.0.b. ; fowls' wheat is amply supplied, and ruling at 2s lOd to 3s per bushel : bran L 3, and pollard L3 5s per ton ; old oats are being grad« ually cleared, and .the great proportion of buduess is now being transacted in the new grain, which is excellent quality being all clean and well harvested ; for prime short samples we report Is lid to 2s, and Danish and Tartarian feed rule from Is lOd to Is lOjd per bushel ; oatmeal from last year's oats, is firm at L 9 5s to L 9 10s; chaff, L 2 15s to L4, ac» cording to sample ; feed barley is rather late this season, and the market is now bare ; maize has only limited demand at 48 to 4s Id ; beans and peas 3s 9d per bushel; rye grass, 3s to 39 6d; cooksfoot, 3fd to 4d per lb ; Derwent potatoes L 2 158 to L3; white samples L 2 10s; onions. £5 to £6 per ton ; olieese very finest, 4£d to 4£d ; other qualities, 3d ; fresh butter, overstocked, 6d to 6£d per ib ; salt butter, no demand nominally worth sd ; bacon and hams, factory cure, 7|d farmers' 3d to 4d ; honey, 4d ; lard 4d; eggs Is Id to Is 2d. There has been little doing in frail ; apples are not in demand, and command no attention. Fears plums', peaches, grapes, and toma» toes have brightened up a little, but other lines are unchanged at low values.
