Feilding State School
; — ♦ Tie annual treat and presentation of prizes to the scholars attending the I above school eventuated yesterday on j the Oval. The youngsters, it is hardly ' necessary to state, numbered in strong j force. A number of parents and j friends were also present. Under the j charge of their respective teachers and : members of the School Committee, j the little folks were treated to various games and amusements. At 5.30 a scrumptuous tea was provided for the " guests," after which the presentation of prizes was made by his Worship the Mayor, Mr S. Goodhehere. At the conclusion of the proceedings three hearty cheers were accorded to his Worship the Mayor for his kindness in presiding. A similar compli* ment was paid the teachers. Mr Watts, Chairman of the School Committee, announced that the medals (so long looked for by the pupils) were expected to arrive in a month's time, when they would be presented to the successful candidates. The assemblage then dispersed. A full list of the prize-takers will appear next issue.
