Derwent potatoes, which have now reduced to L3 per ton for parcels, and fowls' wheat which has also suffered a decline, being now in fair request at 2s lid to 3s per bushel for good whole samples We repeat last week's quotations for oats, Is lOd to Is lid per bushel; oatmeal, L9 5s per ton ; chaff, L3 to Ij4 ; old flour, L9 5s to L9 15s ; new ditto L9 to L9 10s; rye grass, machine dressed, 4s, farmers' 3s ; cocksfoot, 4d to 3d per lb ; a small line of feed barley to hand commanded 2s lOd per bushel ; pollard L3 5s to L3 10s; bran L3 ; beans, 3s 9d; peas, 3s 6d; maize, scarce, 4s; onions, prime, L6 10s, second quality, L6 per ton ; bacon and hams, 7£d per lb ; cheese factory, 4£«l per lb ; lard, 4d ; honey, 3d to 4d ; eggs Is 2d per doz ; fresh butter 6d per lb, market being fully stocked ; salt ditto, in but little request at 6d per lb. Fruit remains overstocked, and prices show no present inclination to improve; values are especially low for apples, damsons and pines; there is a good demand for grapes and peaches, which are the only lines that show a profit to shippers. The demand and quotations of poultry are unaltered.
