Hurdle Handicap, of 40 soys. — {Orient, 1 ; Kangaroo, 2. ,__ie Ladies* Plate Handicap, of 20 soys., fell through. Sweetie was scratched, owing to an objection that the rider- was a professional jockey, leaving Kauri to walk over. The .Stewards afterwards declared the race null and void, on the ground that the rider of Kauri was also a professional. Racing Club Handicap, of 100 soys. —Silence, I ; The Shah, 2. Welter Handicap, of 20 soys. — •Cupid, 1 ; The Shah, 2. Consolation Handicap, of 30 soys. 'The Shah, l ; Smooth, 2.
