Wairarapa and East Coast Bam Fair

Cabtekton, February 16. The old Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral Society's annual ram fair, held here yesterday, was very well attended, and was decided success in spite of the very unfavourable weather. There were upwards of 700 rams yarded, the bulk being Somneys and Lincolns, though the South* down, Leicester, merino, Cotswold and Shropshire Down breeds were also .well represented. The demand for Leicester and Lincoln was especially strong, and very good prices were ob- ■ tamed. The sale of the other breeds was rather dull, Lincolns reached an average of nearly £s.— Post correspondent.
