The total amount received at the Wellington office in the property-tax up to yesterday was £100,000. The total amount received by the Department was £350,000, £25,000 less than the sum due. Letters bearing Tues« day's postmark, however, are deemed to be in time, and it is probable, therefore, that the whole sum will be nearly, if not quite made up, within a day of two. — Times.
