At our last stock sales at Palmerston i ■ and Sanson, cattle were very dull in price, ' and sheen showed no improvement on { former prices, we were able to sell nearly everything at Palmerston, but at Sanson * we only sold, among the cattle, a few steers, but sheep sold very well. At the ram fair yesterday there was good compe- i tion for Lincolns, but a far less demand I for Romneys than formerly. We sold all \ the Lincoln rams excepting a few full- ] mouth sheep, but unfortunately were 1 compelled to pass in most of the Romncy's. i Mr Larkworthy'a Lincolns averaged over j £3, bnngißg prices ranging from 2£ guineas to 3f guineas. Mr Biddiford's 2- , tooth Lincolns, bred by his manager, Mr \ MoLenan, brought an average of over 1$ guineas, the 4-tooth Lincolns, bred by I Mr Menlove, an average of over 2£ gui- c , neap, and Mr Peter Stewart's Lincoln an \ average of 1£ guineas. Those of Mr * Wheeler's Romneys sold brought 3 gui- T neas. We quote for other stock : — . 8 Cattle. — Palmerston .
