There is a quantity of old rye and cocksfoot .grass 'seed offering, which will steady prices when the new crop comes in ; present values are 3s per bushel and 3d to 3£d per lb respectively; Flour, £ 9 5s to £9 15s; fowl wheat, 38 to 3s 3d; bran, £3; pollard, £3 58; maize, 4s; blue peas, 3s 6d; beans, 3s lOd; onions, £7 for New Zealand, and £6 for Australian ; potatoes, £3 10s to £4 j bacon and hams, 7^d for factory, and 2d to 4d for farmers' cure; cheeso, factory, 4Jd to 4£d ; famer3', 3d ; eggs, Is 2d ; honey, 3}d to 4d. The fruit market has been inactive, and, as the Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart steamers arrived a^ together on F; jday, all requirements are filled, audit considerable quantity remains for disposal. Plums and pears had to be oleared at from 28 6d to 4s per case; oranges, lemons, apples, passion fruit, and pines realised low prices, while a strong demand existed for grapes and peaches.
