It is stated that the police wrongly arrested Patrick 0 Brien for taking part in a meeting at Gillhooly. O'Brien remained in the House of Commons all Friday night, and on leaving the chamber at midnight he was surrounded by a bodyguard of 60 members who hustled the police in their attempts to arrest him. A great squaoble ensued at the police gates, when the police were reinforced, and eventually O'Brien .- was taken into custody, and bail was refused. He I will be taken in custody to Dublin for trial.. . The Eoyal Commissioners advise the Imperial Government to spend £400,000 in developing the Irish fisheries, and also to extend the railways throughout the country under a guarantee. Mr Douglas Pyne, member for West Waterford, who recently made his escape from Lisfinney Castle, where he had entrenched himself to elude the service of a warrant for his arrest made his way to the House of Commons, where he proposed taking his seat. Upon making his appearance outside St. Stephens, Mr Pyne was met by the police, who proceeded to execute the warrant charging him with inciting resistance to a sheriff. Mr Pyne and his sympathisers violently resisted the execution of the warrant, but were eventually taken into custody. Dublin, February 11.
