Works in No. 5 Ward : — To Form and Metal Taonui road, ' from Railway line to Feilding- Ashhurst road. Forming and Culverting Forlong's road from Taonui road to Oroua River. Forming and Metalling Spur road from Taonui road to Oroua River. Forming and Metalling Reid's line from Taonui road to boundary of No. 5 Ward. Half cost of Forming and Mc-talling Feildi ngBunnythorpe road, from Oroua River to Bunnythorpe. Metalling Stoney Creek road from Bunnythorpe to end of Formation. Forming and Metaling Bunnythorpe-Ashhurst road from end of metal to boundary of No. 5 Ward, and half cost of Traffic Bridge at Aorangi over Oroua liiver. Total Cost, £4,000. For the annual repayment of principal and interest it is proposed to levy a Special Rate of five-eights of a penny in the £ on the whole of the rateable value of the property within No. 5 Ward. A meeting of Ratepayers to discuss the proposals will be held at the School-bouse, Taonui, opposite Messrs Bailey Bros.' Sawmill, on FRIDAY, 20th January, 1888, at 8 o'clock p.m., and a poll will be taken at the same place on MONDAY, 30th January, 1888. By Order.
