THE CHEVIOT DISASTER.

The corpse is sup* posedto be that of one of the victims of the Cheviot disaster. New Zealand wheat has fallen in value and is quoted totday at 3s to 3s 4d per bushel. New Zealand oats show a slight improvement, prices ranging from Is lid to 2s 2d per bushel. Maize continues about the same as last week, 3s 9d to 3s lOd per 56lbs. Potatoes are still a drug in the market, and have fallen a further 5 s per ton, 25s per ton being all that can be obtained at present.
