Prince maintained his lead, and the order remained almost unchanged until the ' abbatoirs were reached, where Dunlop ■ and Siivermine assumed a bold front, j and Tranter and Thunderbolt fell away and were done with. A magnificent struggle between Dunlop and Siivermine then ensued all the way up the straight, ending in favor of the former by a length and a half, The Australian Peer a length and a half further off third, then came Niagara, Cranbrook, Algerian, Silver Prince, Abercorn, and Thunderbolt in the order named. The time, 3 min. 28£ sec., is the fastest on record. Trident, Affluence, Frisco, and Enfilade were scratched. The Tan Yean Stakes, one mile. — Mr A. Drake's Pasha, 1 ; Dufferin, 2 ; St. John, 3. Pasha beat Dufferin by a head, after a splendid race. M blboubnb, November 1 . Dunlop's Cup victory has been a good one for the ring, he not being by any means a general fancy with the public The total value of the stakes for the winner amounts to £3845. The owner also receives a solid gold horseshoe mounted on silver and a bronze shield, value 100 sovs. Australian Peer, Abercorn, and Niagara, of the Derby horses, all ran well.
