Mr John Godfrey, of Picton, is out for the Waimea-Picton seat. Hokitika, September 7. It is understood that only nine votes were recorded for the Southern Maorj electorate, Erihana, of Waikouaiti, getting two, and Pratt, of Waikouaiti, late member, seven CHBIBTCHUECH. September 7. Mr J. H. Hopkins addressed the Heathcote , electors at' '^aitha.pv l,ast night, and' received a' vote of thanks for his address, but a vote of no confidence was passed.
