One commanded by Eear r Admiral E^reemantle attacked and captured Falmoutn and sailed in the direction of Dover which is defended by a squadron under . ViceAdmiral Sir W. Hewitt. Another squad-! Ron proceeded to the Mersey for the pur-; pose of attacking Liverpool.
