Boxing Match at Wanganui
[PKB UNITED PRKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, June 6. A boxing match-took place to-night between Laing, the hoary-weight champion, and Murphy, the light weight champion, which resulted in an easy victory for Laing. Murphy commenced by attempting to force the fighting, but toward the last endeavored to keep out of Laing's way. He was very active on his feot, but Laing was equally so, and seemed to play with him in the first two rounds. In the third bout Laiug forced the fighting, and after receiviug severe punishment Murphy fell, and was unable to rise at the call of time, the match thus being given to Laing. It is probable that a match will now be arranged between Laiug and Matthews.
