Chamberlain proposes to send to the Wanganui Jubilee Exhibition. There are two fern pictures, of which our reporter saw the one now completed. In this the ferns are neatly and at the same time artistically arranged on a white ground so as to show out distinctly the beautiful tracing of the different fronds. The frame is a most remarkable one being made of plain wood with an ondlqes varioty of all sorts of tlimgs fastened or attached to it. | Among other incongruous items are I pfne cones, sea shells, walnuts, ake ake I seeds, hazel nuts, plum, peach and date Btonee, blue gum seeds, miciocarpa cones, peas and french beans, scarlet runners, maize, almonds, &c, &c, all apparently put on at random yet making a most harmonious whole. The- effect is very good. In a neatly mado plass case — aleo the handiwork of the exhibitor— are five vasop and two egg cups turned from totara knot. These are very neatly done and the patterns are graceful, showing considerable taste in their selection. The work™ an ship is good, and reflects infinite rredit on the skill and- ingenuity of 2k£r Chamberlain.
