Some controversy has taken place owing to the Governor, at his. levee, receiving the Defence Jft>rce before the Corporation official*. It has been explained that this was done because the Defence Force represents the whole community at large^ and the Corporation only a local section. - Adelaide, May 27. Lord and Lady Brassey will remain here a few days. H.M.S. Nelson Will be present in the harbour at the time of the opening of the Exhibition. She leaves shortly with H.M.S. Opal.
