The Electoral Roll
Settlers in all parts of the district should take an early opportunity of having their names placed on the electoral rolls of their sereial districts. A. general election will take place in a very few months from the present time when the vote of every man will be of the most vital importance. Although it is often a matter of personal inconvenience for men living in new settlements to register themselves and afterwards use the privilege at an election, yet that must be willingly sacrificed when the great interests of the farmers and other cultivators of the soil are in danger. The Country in contradistinction to the Towns must use every means to prevent their being politically swamped by the latter.
