[per united press association, i Wanganui, This Day. Mr Baliance disclaims any intention of giving a forecast of the Government policy m his speech on Tuesday. He says the whole thing is based oa a misapprehension. He does not think it his place to usurp the function* more pro* perly belonging to the I 'rentier and Colonial Treasurer, and he will leave the general forecast to them, dealing himself with Bills he intends to bring forward, and matters more intimately connected with the departments under his control. Auckland, April 1. With the exception of one or two foreign companies, not English, the whole of che Insurance Companies, it is said, have agreed to a 25 per cent, interest.
