Bulls, February 28. Messrs Stevens and Gorton report: — We yarded over 200 head of useful cattle and over 1,200 sheep at Feilding on the 24th, and were glad to fand a better demand for female cattle, for which we obtained better prices than of late, though for bullocks there was not the same demand, doubtless owing to the long drought. The bidding for sheep was fairly brisk, and wo sold all that came forward, and after the sale sold all the cattle excepting two pens. We quote: — Cattle.—3-year bullocks, £4 to £4 6/- ; fat cows, £4 10/- to £3 15/;- store cows, 35/- to £2 6/-;, mixed yearlings, chiefly steers, 39/6. Sheep.—2-tooth wethers, 6/1; fullmouth ewes, 2/6 to 4/-; ewes, mixed ages, 4/11; lambs, 3/3 to 4/-.
