Mr Dowie and the Colonial Press

TPEE UNITKD PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Chkistchubch, February 9. | The Rev. Mr Dowie has fallen foul of the Press here, which has generally let him alone. Ono evening journal referred to one of his supposed cures, that of a blind man. Mr Dowie grew personal at his meeting to-night. He said the New Zealand Press was the most libellous and scurrilous he had ever experienced, but after all there were some papers nearly as bad. The editor of the Melbourne Age was a direct descendant of Ananias, the editor of tho Melbourne Argus was a descendent of the impenitent thief, and Mr Dowie could not find apparently genealogy sufficiently bad for tne editor of the Telegraph.
