Murder at Gisborne

As to the double murder, two young Natives called on a European settler two days before the deed and begged a little lead. It is supposed this was made into bullets and used on the occasion. One of them named Turu, has been arrested. The other, named Aporo, soon will be. An inquest is now proceeding, a doctor having gone up. The remains are a horrible sight, being all in pieces, and quite unrecognisable. It is stated"positively that all the hapu had decided on the dped. A son of the deceused, aged 25; also a little boy who were in the whare at the time, were awakened by the shots, and rushed out. They found the wij&re ablaze,
