Mr Parnell's amendment to the Address-in- Reply suggests that instead of increased stringency, reforms should be introduced; calculated to satisfy the needs and secure the confidence of the Irish people. .
MrGoschen has accepted the invitai tion to contest'the St. George's Hanpver Square division of Middlesex. He; will be opposed by Mr Hayman, a Radical. The floating of Allsopp's Company; has[ been postponed. . Panics have occurred on the Bourses at Berlin, Vienna, and Paris; These have been caused partly from political, but chiefly financial causes. - It is proposed to hold a regatta at New York in June, when a prize of; one thousand dollars and the championship of the world wijl be rowed for.
