News has been received from Afghanistan that the Duarni tribes, incited by the Governor of Candahar attacked the British station at Kallabdulla, near Khojak Pass. In the conflict tho Khan of Ivalaabdula and one hundred coolies were killed. The insurgents afterwards destroyed the telegraph lines.
London, January 27. The Pall Mall Gazette publishes an article exposing the healing " miracles" of Mr Milner Stephen.
The re>couat in the ballot papers in the Liverpool election made no change in the totals polled, and Mr Neville has been declared duly elected. Lord R. Churchill's statement shows that he objected to 31 millions being voted for tbe Army and Navy, He urged tbat the proposed defences of coalin? stations and commercial ports should I c abandoned. He would have been satisfied with an immediate reduction of half a million. The Press condemned Lord R. Churchill's action.
