[per united press association.] Wanganui. January 10. A little Maori boy, aged 7 years, son of Hiroki, the murderer, who had been lost in the Momohaki bush, near Waverley, for twelve days, and was believed cy his tribe to bi' dead, was tound by some Kuropeans on Sunday. What the little fellow lived on is a mystery. Wellington, This Day. A robbery occurred yesterday at the house of John Plimmer, an old resident of Wellington. A man named .Reuben Hind, who was before the Court a short time ugo for personating Mr Jellicoe, a lawyer, visited Mr Phmmer's house yesterday evening, and stole a cash box containing £35 in money, a quantity of cheques, jewellery and valuable docu* raents. Hind was arrested this morning, and the jewellery and most of the money was found on him. The box and docu» ments are not yet recovered.
A Mrs Vandelinde, a middle aged woman and Wairarapa resident, died suddenly this morning. Cauae unknown. Hokitika, January 8. Some excitement has been caused in the district by an affiliation case, the de» fendant being a recently dismissed country schoolteacher and the plaintiff a pupil. The information was thrown out the case being held not proved. Five informations for perjury have been laid — two on hehalf of the defendant and three on behalf of the plaintiff.
