Feilding R M Court

Friday, 7th January, 1887. (Before S. Goodbehere Esq., Mayor, and J. 0. Thompson Esq., J.P.s Dr Johnston was charged with allowing his chimney to get on fire. Fined 5s and 7s costs. H. Eockell, Dog Tax Collector for for Manawatu County, v. R. Perrett. This was a dog case. — Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined 5s costs 18a. Same v. William Eowe, of Carnarvon, charged with being the owner of an unregistered dog. Defendant did net appear. Fined 10s and costs 14s. Same v. John Gotty. - Plaintiff proved the dog had been in (Jotty's pose* sion for fourteen days, Defendant stated he had since destroyed the dog. Fined 5s and costs 7s. Same v. Winiata. — No appearance of defendant. Fined 5s and costs 11s. Same v. Paku. — No appearance of defendant. Fined 5s and costs 1 Is. Mr Sandilands appeared for plaintiff in the above dog cases and applied for moities of the fines to he allowed to the collector. The Court granted the request. 'jDhis was all the business.
