Shocking Occurrence at Napier
0 [PER UNITED PRESS ASSCIATION.j Napiee This Day, A fire broke out in a small house near the Catholic School, Shakespeare Road, at 1 a.m., occupied by a family named Teehon as a boardinghouse for laborers. The back of the dwelling was discovered to be on fire by a passer-by who, failing to rouse the inmates, ran to the nearest fire bell. The fire was confined to one house. As soon as possible an entrance was effected when the bodies of two men, fearfully mutilated, were discovered huddled together. One was recognised as the proprietor, and the other as a man named Kelly, a laborer. Both men had been drinking over night.
