The Pall Mall Gazette of to-day states that Mr Chamberlain has expressed his willingness to be present at any informal and private conference with Mr Gladstone, Mr J. Morely, and Sir William Yernon Harcourt, for the purpose of discussing the Irish. question, and endeavoring to discover a basis which should be acceptableboth to Mr ParneU and Mr Chamberlain. January 5. Mr Gladstone has written a letter to i?ir William Ternon Harcourt, in. reply to a request that he should attend the meeting of Liberal leaders to discuss the Irish question. Mr Gladstone adds that, whilst approving of the proposed conference, he abstainsfrom taking part in the same. It is announced that the conference will beheld on the 13th instant, and will comprise Messrs Chamberlain, Joha Morley, Sir G. Trevelyan, Sir William. ' Veruon Harcourt, and Lord HerechelL
