Special Bank Holidays
TO THE BDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — With reference to yonr subleader on 30th December I would point out that to have advertised the holiday to have observed on 3rd January, m the Star, would have been legally useless as the Star was published less than three times withia the tea days immediately \ proceeding such day. — I am, &c, A Banker, j Feilding, 3rd January, 1887. [We did not consider the " legality" of the matter at all ; we commented on the inconvenience suffered by the bank's customers who lived in the back country.—Ed. F.S.]
