Wednesday, 22nd December, 1886. (Before E. Ward, Esq., E.M.) J. Jensen v. Fred Klink.— Claim 6a 6d. No appearance of defendant. Verdict for plaintiff with costs. C. Matthews v. Thomas Smith. — Claim £2 6s. No appearance. Case 1 struck out. j J. Jensen v. Poad and Brazier. — Claim 4s. Brazier appeared, and pleaded that he was a bankrupt. Case struck out. C. Henry v. W. Earpe.— Claim £37 17s Bd. Mr Sandilands applied for this case to be adjourned to allow the evidence of defendant to be taken at Blenheim. Adjourned accordingly to the 26th January, 1887. W. Wilson v. E. G. McDermott.— Claim £12 4s 9d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. A set off of £3 8s was pleaded, and £2 8s 3d paid into court. Plaintiff deposed he had been working for McDermott since August 2 at 20s a-week with board and lodgings. Defendant deposed he had employed plaintiff at 15s to be increased to 20s a-week in the dry season when the metalling begau. Judgment for plaintiff for £6 4s 9dy less £2 8s 3d paid into court, with costs and counsels fees. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. W. G. Haybittler. W. Cook.— Case withdrawn by Mr Prior who appeared for plaintiff. Bailey Bros. v. S. Towler. — Claim £13 16s lOd. Mr Prior for plaintiff, Defendant is an engineer on the Wellington - Manawatu line, is married and has six children, and is earning 10s a day. Ordered to pay £1 a month, on the 15th of each month.
