Feilding School Committee
A meeting of the above committee was held on Tuesday evening last. Present — Messrs Watts (Chairman), Worsfold, Lankshear, and Cottreii.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The master's usual monthly report was read showing : — Average roll — Boys, 146; girls, 143; total, 289. Attendance— Boys, 104 ; girls, 100 ; total, 204.
Correspondence was read from the Education Board stating that the school would be closed for the holidays from December 10th to January 18th, 1887.
Resolved, That Mr Foster be appointed auditor to audit the school accounts.
The Chairman reported re school prizes, that Mr Dowling being unable to get up a concert, subscription lists be supplied to the children, which the master would prepare and distribute. Eesolved, That the Chairman gat the drawing models asked for, the cost not to exceed three pounds.
