Intimidation in Ireland
By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. [REUTERS TELEGKMS.J London, J'ecember 14. The trial of Mr John Dillon, M.P.. for Mayo, on a charge of intimidation was concluded to-day in the Court of Queen's Bench at Dublin. The Judges declared that the plan of the campaign adopted by the agitators was illegal, and that Mr Dillon's language in speeches recently delivered was an incitement to disorder and to the violation of contracts. The prisoner was ordered, within twelve days to find security for good behaviour in his own recognizances of £1000 and two sureties of £1000 each ; in default six months imprisonment. December 15. It is expected that the Government will proclaim the action of the Irish Land Leaguers, in inciting tenants sot to pay n n".s, illegal, and that any members continuing such action will be charged with conspiracy.
