Acting under the advice of Mr Dillon, M,P., for East Mayo, five hundred tenants on Lord Clanricarde's estate, Galway, have refused to pay their rents. Lord Salisbury has written a letter stating that he is unable to meet the proposed deputation of unemployed from the Socialists. November 21. The Socialistic demonstration, as pre« viomsly arranged, took place in TrafaU gar Square this afternoon, fully fitty thonsand persons were present, and the usual Socialist resolutions were passed. The proceedings passed off without disturbance.
