The innings closed for 74 runs. The Home team then went in, tke last wicket falling for 111 runs. McDonnell made 32, bowled, Moses, 31, not out. The Englishmen had only time to commence their second innings and had made 4 runs without the loss of a wicket when the stumps were drawn for the day.
