Suicide at Halcombe
On Sunday night the inhabitants of Halcombe were astounded with the intelligence that an old settler named Joseph Lukaschewski had shot himself. It was well-known that for some years his mind had been unsettled, and although he had often stated he would nake away with himself it was not believed he had any serious intention of fulfilling the threat. On Sunday night, however, he committed the rash deed. An inquest was held at Halcombe to-day, and a verdict of temporary insanity was given.
