Awahuri Ploughing Match
TO THE EDITOR OF THK STAR,
Sir, — I think the high honor and strict integrity of those gentlemen who formed the executive of the late Ploughing Match, is quite sufficient to prevent the rumour that tbe committee have disposed of tbe surplus funds they held in trust, for the purpose of defraying the expense of erecting a denominational bailding, from obtaining any credence ; still as some may be unacquainted with the high character of the committee, and believe the report, it would be well for that committee to at ones silence so derogatory a statement by rendering an account of its stewardship, and then, as for all purposes of utility it is an end, to formally wind up the affair after duly adyer tising the same, so that all who have contributed m any way to the common fund, may have an opportunity of expressing their views as to the disposal of the remaining money.— l am, &c., Contributor.
