The visitors who yenterday lost foar wickets for 255 runs resumed their inninks and succeeded in compiling 329 runs before the last wicket fell. At the Circuit Conrt at Hathurst. Jos.eph Yeoman was charged with attempted murder of Robert Kibble, near Waleiwang, on May tke_l7ih. The evidence' showed that the primmer waited . for Kibble pn the bush track and shot him in the head, and that lie then chased him for a mile till he reached home. Kibble's life was in great danger for a time from er} sipelai, but he recovered. Ah attempt by the prisoner to prove an alibi failed, and he was found guilty. Sentence of death, without hope ol mercy, was passed npon the. prisoner.
