Revolution in Bulgaria
[REUTERS* TKiEOHAMS-F, Vikkna, Ootofier 4. The Austrian Government recently made, a proposal to the other powers that a conference be held, with the view of arriving at a settlement of theBulgarian difficulty. The German and Russian Governments have, however, replied declining the proposed conference. Sofia. Ortolwr 4. At a ntaM meeting held in this city to-day, as a protest against the demands of Russia in regard to the future government of Bulgaria. General Kaulbars, who was present, proceeded to harangue the meeting, but was sheuted down and left the hall. Before doing so he warned those present not to disregard the advice of Kussia. London. October 6. The existence of a plot, in which it bad been arranged that General Kaulbars should overthrow the Bulgarian Regency, has been betrayed. It is believed that General Kaulbars is trying to provoke a rupture in Bulgaria. The speeches of M. Tisza and Lord Randolph Churchill have encouraged the Regency to stand firm. . It is announced that the : British Government are in favor of the proposal of Austria of a conference of representatives of the Powers to discuss" the Bulgarian difficulty.
