The following are the returns for the Wanpanui section of railway for the period from 25th July to 2 1st August, 1886, and for the corresponding period ended 15th August. 1885 : — 1886 1885 Passengers .. 2203 15 0 2324 18 1 Parcels', &c. .. 194 15 11 191 5 2 Goods .. 2255 11 2 2437 17 3 Miscellaneous 196 211 155 14 5 £4850 5 0 £5109 14 11 The last period to July 24 was £4688 19s 2d, so that a very fair progressive increase is to be noted.
