Wellington, September 11. George Thomas & Co. report produce prices this week as follows:— " Extreme dullness is the most noticeable feature in this branch of trade, and prices, although wiihout alteration, are net firm for any leading line. We quote potatoes ai-cording to quality, for 60s to 70s, samples are now becoming somewhat irregu-l.-ir; onions, LlO to Lll 10s; maize is lightly held and 3s lOd t« 4a are fair market valuation; beans, 3.s lOd ; ordinary field peas, 4s 6d; Prussian blues, ss; eats are unchanged and dull of sale at 2s 6d to 2s 9d, and the same remarks apply to pollard and bran at L 6 and L 5 10s respectively; fowls' wheat is unprocurable and nominally worth 4s 3d per bushel flour has usual business, and is ruling from Lll for stone t» Ll2 for roller process ; oaten chaff, L4; feed barley, 2s 9d to 3s. Cheese of good quality remains scarce at 6^d ; hams and bacon, best brands, are dull at 7d all round ; eggs, 9|d per doz ; honey, 3d to sd. Stock* of fruit are ample, and will be considerably augmented by Monday's arrivals from Sjdney and Fiji ; price* are all in favour of buyers and returns continue to elicit unsatisfactory expressions of opinion trom the vendor. Poultry is in somewhat better demand, ml rule-towls 3s 6d, turkeys 9s, geese 7s, and ducks 4s per pair."
