Past and Present Cambridge, was resumed and concluded at Leyton to-day. • The visitors continued their second innings which closed for a total of 379 runs, Giffen, caught 119, Evans, not out, 74, being the principal scorers The Englishmen, who were thirty less than their opponents in the first 1 innings, went to the wiukets, and 1 succeeded in placing 149 to their 1 credit for the loss of four wickets. Time did not. permit of the match being played out, and it was therefor* declared drawn. Scotton and Sherwin, the' Notts' professionals, have joined Shaw's cricket team for Australia, and the well-known Surrey amateur, Mr W. W. Read, also will probably go.
