Mklboubnb, August 25. The race horse Commotion has broken down. Hobabt, August 25.. The Tnsraanian Parliament was opened to-day by his Excellency the Governor. Ie the course of his speech he stated the revenue of the colony for this year was higher than during any previous twelve years. He also favored a new loan. Mklboubne, August 24. Sailed this afternoon— Te Anau for Bluff. August 25. The steamship Tagliaferro has arrived from Cambridge Gull, bringing 45 diggers The majority of these had not visited Kimberley, but they generally givo unfavourable reports of the field and urge others not to go. Sydhbt, August 25. An angry altercation took place last evening between seyeral members in the vestibule of the Legislative Assembly, and culminated in stand-up fighta between Messrs Tyne. Clark, Bhepherd, and JDawßon. The scene is described as a most disgraceful one. Adelaide, August 25. A number of men who had been at Cambridge Gulf intending to proceed t» Kimberley, have returned to Adelaide.
