The certificate of Captain Webber has been cancelled and that of the third officer JMr Fotherlngham, suspended for ene year. Melbovbve, August 16. It is believed that Caffrey, the Barrier Island marderer, has been seen in Gippsland. The police are now engaged searching the district. The committee of the Melbourne cricket club have decided to abandon the idea of importing a team in opposition to that which Lilly white brings to the colonies uoxt season. Sydney, August 14. The schooner .Condonj capsized yesterday off Port Stephens. Two of the crew were drowned. The others on board were rescued with, difficulty.
