Mangaone School Committee
A meeting of the above committee was held on Wednesday last at 8 p.m. Present — Messrs W. GK Pearce (chairman), W. Mexted, J. Mexted, G. Ash worth, and A. Pringle. The minutes of the prerious meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE . LettAr from the teacher, asking that th.i examination be postponed for a month, so as to make up for time lost during the teacher's illness, and by the lining of the school building. Letter from the Board, promising £ fer £ toward a boundary fence. Proposed by Mr W. Mexted, seconded by Mr Pringle, That the teacher's letter, re examination, be forwarded to the Inspector. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Ashworth, seconded by Mr W. Mexted, That tenders be called for the boundary fence, and that the tenders close on August 5. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Pringle, seconded by Mr J. Mexted, That the teacher use the absentee forms now in use in other schools. — Carried. Accounts to the amount of £1 16s 2d wore passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
