Feilding School . Committee
A meeting of the above committee was held last Tuesday evening. Present — Messrs Watts (chairman), Eade, Curtis, Worsfpld, Rutherford, Lankshear. The minutes of the previous meeting were' read and. confirmed. The masters usual monthly report was road showing — Average roll — Boys, 146; girls, 137 ; total, 283. Attendance — Boys, 103; girls, 103; total, 206. Correspondence was read from Mr Halconibe in reference to the purchase of the section adjoining the school ground. j It was resolved, That the committee not having the funds the offer be I declined, .the committee to assist in erecting a dividing fence. The Chairman was instructed to make the necessary arrangements. A deputation vait9d on tjie Committee re Mr Mathow Burnett, applying for permission for that gontloman to address the scholars on Thursday afternoon. Resolved, That permission to lecture be granted accordingly. Accounts amounting to £l were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
