Rich Find of Gold

A few weeks ago a new discovery of gold was made at Waiomio, situated aboutten miles from Thames. Splendid loose prospects of gold were obtained, and in consequence a number of claims in the vicinity were pegged out. The prospectors in a day or two had a parcel of 2& tons of general dirt and about 2001 bof picked stuff packed to the Thames for treatment by one of the batteries The crushing was finished to-day for the rich return of 160oz of retorted gold, which is valued at about £3 5s per ounce.
