The City of Dunedin Leasing and the New Plymouth Kecreation Beserve Bills were read a second time. The Native Equitable Owner Bill waß read a second time, and orderod to be referred, to the Native Affairs Committee. The Hon. Mr Tole moved the second reading of the Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Bill. The motion was agreed to.
This Day. The House went into co.nmittee en the Municipal Corporations Bill. Mr Dobion moved to strike out the provision that not less than 300^ people must be in a district before it is pro* claimed a Borough. — Carried. VOGKL's BORROWING BtXt. ■_« ,, . . Bir Julius Yogel moved for'feiv*ifci bring in a bill to borrow one million and a half for the construction of railways.
