Keeoiutions were unanimously passed .effinwngthe desirability of the early •compfesCien of railway communication between Palmerston and Woodville ; of asking the Government to rote a «un for the construction of a road between Palmerston and Pahiatua; the erection of new post and telegraph offioM and railway stations ; of having the imposition of one shilling per ton «t Foxton railway station removed; of appointing a rosident of Palmerston returning officer for the electoral district ; and of having the Road Boards Act so amended as to allow either of two boards to take control of any road passing through each of two districts from one centre to another. It was Also resolved to forward the resolutions to the member, D. H. Macarihur, for representation to the Government.
