The Australian Cricketers

. — ♦ LBEUTEB'S "TCIiEOBAMS.'j London, May 19. The cricket mateh — Australians y. Nottingham — was continued at Nottingham to-day. The rain, which prevailed for some days past, cleared off, and the weather was fine during the match, the attendance consequently being good. The wicket had recovered from the effect of the wet, and tine lively bowling of the Australian team was much admired, being as a rule dead on the wicket, but they seem hardly to work together. Their fielding was rather weak, several good chances being missed. The Australians, who the previous evening had one wicket down for 50, resumed their innings, and put together 109 before they were disposed of. The Homo team then went to the wickets and made 104. The Australians went in for their second innings, but time was called when they had scored 12 for two wickets. As the first day was lost on account of the rain, the match could not be played out, and a draw was therefore declared.
