« Thb interest in the question of the re* construction of the Board of the above stilt continues te occupy considerable attention. It is also clear that Mr Fishbb does not intend to allow the movement to languish. As an amendment to the various proposals already published, he has given notice that he will move at the annual meeting of policy-holders in June next*— "(l). That the Central Board be reconstituted, and that it consist of seven members, four to be elected by thepeliejnolders, and three to be nominated by the Government. The three nominated members not to be officer* of the Government. (2). That the Board. as reconstituted, shall elect its own chairman, (3). That the honoraria be fixed at £100 for each member of the Board except the Chairman of Directors, who shall receive £300 per annum."
